Hi Friends! In this how to crochet post I teach you how to Clean Fasten Off. This is my favorite way to fasten off amigurumi projects, since it gives you a clean edge. It also makes sewing your crocheted pieces together much easier.

To Make A Clean Fasten Off
Step 1: Once you reach the last stitch, cut the yarn and then pull the loop that was just on the hook all the way until the tail comes through.
Step 2: With a yarn needle, skip the first stitch of the round, the one directly next to our last stitch of the round, and go to the 2nd stitch.
Step 3: Going from front to back, weave the needle under both loops (the “V”). Pull the yarn through.
Step 4: Then weave the needle in between the “V” of the last stitch of the round, going from the front to the back. Only go under the back loop for this.
Step 5: Pull the yarn through, making sure to not pull too tight. You’ll notice that we just created a “stitch” and the fasten off is invisible.
Either weave in the tail or leave it for sewing, whichever the pattern states.
