Springtime is here which means all the flowers are blooming and new life is popping out for the first time in months! Going on daily walks with my two pups means we see lots of bunnies, squirrels and birds. The baby bunnies are always my favorite to spot because they are just so darn cute! I knew I had to make a small crocheted chubby bunny to celebrate my favorite time of the year. I picked out a few of my favorite Spring colors but these could be made in any color you’d like! There are endless possibilities for this free crochet chubby bunny pattern!
With Easter just a few days away, this amigurumi chubby bunny is so quick to make that you’ll be able to tuck one into your kiddo’s basket before the big day. You can even personalize them with little bows and bow ties or even add a crochet carrot for snackin on later!
I hope you have fun making these Chubby Bunnies!

With straight pins, position the crocheted ears on top of the head, placing them about 2 rounds down from the magic ring. Then with a yarn needle and the tail, sew the ears to the head. Secure with a knot and hide the end inside the body.
Arms and Legs – Make 4
Using color of your choice,
R1: 5 sc in magic ring. (5 sts)
R2: Inc in each st around. (10 sts)
R3-6: Sc 10.
R7: Sc 4. Do this by lining up the stitches on both sides of the arm then inserting the hook under both stitches. Sc as normal.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Both the arms and legs will be unstuffed.
For the arms – With straight pins, position the arms in place on the body. Place them starting at round 13 of the body. Then with a yarn needle, sew the arms in place. Secure with a knot and hide the end inside the body.
For the legs – With straight pins, position the legs on the bottom part of the body near round 23. Then with a yarn needle, sew the legs in place. When sewing each one, sew round 7 of the leg to the body and then use the remaining tail to sew part of the leg to the body. This will help the leg not be so “floppy” and will keep the leg in place. Secure with a knot and hide the end inside the body.
Tail
Using color of your choice,
R1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts)
R2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
R3+4: Sc 12.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Add a tiny bit of fiberfil to the tail.
With straight pins, pin the tail in place on the body between rounds 17-20. With a yarn needle, sew the tail to the body. Secure with a knot and hide the end inside the body.
