Even though I normally use an Invisible Decrease, sometimes a Regular Decrease (Dec) is more suitable. This is mainly when working flat pieces and not in the round.

To crochet a Regular Decrease
Step 1: Insert the hook into the next stitch. Yarn over and pull hook through. There will be 2 loops on your hook.
Step 2: Insert the hook into the next stitch. Yarn over and pull hook through. There will be 3 loops on your hook.
Step 3: Yarn over for the last time and pull through all 3 loops. 1 loop will remain on your hook.
