Hi Friends! In this how to crochet post I teach you how to Yarn Over (Yo). Yarning Over is one of the very beginning steps when learning how to crochet. The video below includes steps for how to Slip Knot, Yarn Over, and Chain. (In this order)

How To Yarn Over
To yarn over, simply take your hook and grab hold of the yarn. The yarn will go from the back to the front of the hook. The yarn will be going over your hook and then you can proceed to pull it through the loop or stitch.
